1. About these terms
These Rewards & Referral Terms cover the things you can earn in RiseDare: streaks and badges, streak rewards, offers from partners, referral rewards and the balance in your RiseDare wallet. Together we call these the "rewards programme". RiseDare is operated by (to be added), (to be added) ("RiseDare", "we", "us").
These terms form part of our Terms of Service. By taking part in the rewards programme, sharing a referral code or using a reward, you agree to them. Taking part is optional and free: you never have to pay to earn a streak, a badge or a referral reward.
2. Who can take part
- You need a RiseDare account in good standing. Streaks and badges are available to every user, on the Free plan and on paid plans.
- Rewards that have a money value, including referral rewards, wallet credits, withdrawals and partner offers, are for users aged 18 or over. They are disabled for users under 18.
- One person may hold one account in the rewards programme. Rewards are personal to the account that earned them.
- Some rewards are available only on certain plans, in certain countries or for a limited time. The app shows what is available to you.
- Employees and contractors of (to be added) may use the app but may not earn referral rewards from accounts they create or control.
3. Streaks and streak freezes
A streak counts the days in a row on which you woke up on time by completing your alarm's dare. The app shows your current streak and your best streak. A day is counted in the time zone of your device.
A streak freeze protects your streak on a day you miss. Freezes are refilled weekly, and the number you get depends on your plan, as shown in the app. A freeze has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for anything else.
Streaks are a record of your own progress. They are calculated by our systems from what the app reports, and our record is the one that counts. If you believe your streak is wrong because of a fault in the app, write to [email protected] and we will look into it and correct it where the fault is confirmed.
4. Badges and Chuzi's growth
Badges are awarded for milestones, such as reaching a streak length or completing particular missions. Chuzi, the RiseDare mascot, also grows through stages as you keep waking up on time.
Badges and Chuzi's stages are for fun and motivation. They are part of your account, have no cash value, and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged. We may add new badges, change the conditions for earning them in future, or retire badges that are no longer offered.
5. Streak rewards and partner offers
From time to time, waking up on time may unlock a reward, such as a coupon or an offer from a partner. The rewards on offer, the streak or action needed to unlock each one, and the partner providing it are as shown in the app at the time. They change, and a reward shown today may not be available tomorrow.
The following applies to every streak reward and partner offer:
- A reward is delivered digitally in the app, usually as a code or coupon. Nothing is sent by post.
- A reward has no cash value. It cannot be exchanged for money, credited to your wallet, sold or transferred to another person.
- Each reward has its own conditions, such as an expiry date, a minimum spend, a limit of one per person or the places where it can be used. These are shown with the reward. A reward that is not used before it expires is lost and is not replaced.
- A partner offer is provided and fulfilled by the partner, not by us. Using it is subject to the partner's own terms and privacy policy, and the partner is responsible for its products, services and offer.
- Rewards are offered while stocks or allocations last. We do not guarantee that any particular reward will be available when you reach a milestone.
- If a code we issue does not work for a reason that is not your fault, tell us at [email protected] within the validity period of the reward and we will try to resolve it with the partner or offer a comparable reward where we can.
6. The referral programme: how it works
Every eligible user has a personal referral code and link in the app. You can share it with people you know who are new to RiseDare. When a friend signs up with your code and becomes a paying customer, you and your friend each receive the referral reward shown on the referral screen in the app at the time your friend signs up.
The reward may be a discount, a wallet credit, free Pro time or something else, and it can change. The reward that applies to you is the one shown in the app when the referral is made, not one shown in an older message, advertisement or screenshot. Any limit on the number or total value of referral rewards you can earn is also shown in the app.
7. When a referral qualifies
A referral qualifies for a reward only when all of these are true:
- Your friend is a new user who has never had a RiseDare account before.
- Your friend entered your code or used your link when signing up or before making their first purchase. A code cannot be added afterwards.
- Your friend completed their free trial and made their first payment for a paid plan, and that payment meets any minimum amount shown in the programme details in the app.
- That payment was successful and has not been refunded, reversed or charged back.
- You and your friend are different people, with different accounts, devices and payment methods.
- Both accounts are in good standing and the referral does not break the fair-use rules below.
8. When referral rewards are given and when they are taken back
A referral reward is added to your account after the referral qualifies. It is not given when your friend only installs the app, creates an account or starts a free trial.
If your friend's qualifying payment is later refunded, reversed or charged back, the referral no longer qualifies and the rewards given for it are taken back from both accounts. If a reward that has been taken back has already been used or withdrawn, we may set the amount off against future rewards on the account.
A referral reward that is a discount applies once, to the purchase it was issued for, and cannot be combined with another offer unless the checkout page allows it. A referral reward that is free Pro time is added to your plan and has no cash value.
9. Your RiseDare wallet
Your wallet in the app shows the money-value rewards credited to your account, such as referral rewards paid as credit, with a history of each credit and debit. Amounts are shown in Indian Rupees.
Please understand what the wallet is and is not:
- The wallet is a record of rewards we have credited to you. It is not a bank account, a deposit or a stored-value payment account.
- You cannot add your own money to the wallet, and you cannot send wallet balance to another user.
- No interest is paid on a wallet balance.
- Wallet credits come only from the rewards programme. Hardcore Mode stakes are never credited to anyone's wallet.
- A balance can be reduced where a reward is taken back under these terms, for example after a refund of the payment that produced it.
- The wallet is linked to your account and ends with it. See the section on closing your account below.
10. Withdrawing your wallet balance
Where withdrawal is available for your balance, you can ask to withdraw it from the wallet screen in the app to a UPI ID in your own name. We check the UPI ID before paying, and we may ask you to verify your identity where the law or our payment partner requires it.
Withdrawal rules:
- A minimum withdrawal amount and other limits may apply. They are shown on the wallet screen before you confirm.
- Withdrawals are paid only to a UPI ID or bank account in India that belongs to you. We do not pay to a third party.
- Check the UPI ID carefully. If you give a wrong UPI ID and the payment succeeds, we may not be able to recover it.
- Withdrawals are processed after our checks are complete. The time taken for the money to arrive depends on the banks involved. A withdrawal that fails is returned to your wallet.
- We may hold or refuse a withdrawal while we look into suspected fraud, misuse or a referral that may not qualify.
- Each withdrawal request is processed once. Sending the same request again does not result in a second payment.
11. Taxes
Rewards may be taxable in your hands. You are responsible for any tax due on rewards you receive. Where the law requires us to deduct tax before paying a reward or a withdrawal, we will deduct it, pay you the balance and, where applicable, ask for the details needed to do so, such as your Permanent Account Number. Discounts shown at checkout are applied to the price inclusive of GST, as shown on your invoice.
12. Fair use and misuse
The rewards programme is for genuine users telling people they know about RiseDare. The following are misuse:
- Referring yourself, or creating more than one account to collect rewards.
- Using fake, duplicate, temporary or purchased accounts, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or devices.
- Posting your code on coupon, deal or voucher sites, or sharing it in bulk with people you do not know.
- Sending unsolicited messages, spam or misleading claims about RiseDare to get sign-ups, or bidding on RiseDare's name in paid advertising.
- Paying or pressuring people to sign up, or arranging purchases that are meant to be refunded once the reward is paid.
- Using a modified app, automation or false data to fake completed dares, streaks or badges.
- Selling, trading or transferring rewards, codes or accounts.
13. What happens if the rules are broken
If we reasonably believe that a reward was obtained by misuse, error or fraud, we may cancel the reward, take back credits already given, refuse or reverse a withdrawal, remove the streak or badge concerned, and suspend the referral code or the account under our Terms of Service.
Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you what we have found and give you a chance to explain before a final decision. You can ask our Grievance Officer to review a decision.
14. Rewards and Hardcore Mode are separate
The rewards programme has nothing to do with Hardcore Mode. Rewards are never funded by other users' Hardcore Mode stakes, and completing a dare under Hardcore Mode does not earn you money. Hardcore Mode has no winnings. See the Hardcore Mode Terms.
15. Changes to and ending of the programme
Streak rewards, partner offers and referral rewards are promotional benefits that we offer at our discretion. They may change or end at any time. We may change the reward on offer, the conditions for earning it, the partners and the limits, and we may pause or end any part of the programme.
A change does not take away a reward that has already been validly earned and credited to your account, except where these terms allow it to be taken back. If we end the wallet feature, we will give reasonable notice so that you can withdraw any balance that is eligible for withdrawal.
16. Closing your account
If you delete your RiseDare account, your streaks, badges, unused rewards and referral code are deleted with it and cannot be restored. Withdraw any wallet balance that is eligible for withdrawal before you delete your account. Records of rewards paid and withdrawals made are kept for the period required by law, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
17. Our responsibility
We are responsible for the rewards that we provide ourselves, such as wallet credits and free Pro time. We are not responsible for the goods, services or conduct of partners whose offers appear in the app, although we will help you raise a problem with a partner if you ask.
Rewards are a bonus and not part of what you pay for when you buy a plan. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a reward that is unavailable, expired or withdrawn in line with these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded.
18. Help, complaints and company details
For questions about a reward, a referral or your wallet, write to [email protected] from your registered e-mail address.
