1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how (to be added) (RiseDare, we, us) uses cookies and similar technologies on the website risedare.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally and what rights you have.

This policy covers the website. The RiseDare mobile apps do not use browser cookies; the data the apps collect is described in the Privacy Policy and on the App Permissions and Data Safety page.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. The browser sends it back on later visits so the site can remember something, such as the language you picked.

Browsers also offer other ways of remembering things, which this policy treats in the same way as cookies:

  • Session storage: information kept by the browser only for the current tab or browsing session. It is cleared when you close the tab or browser.
  • Local storage: information kept by the browser on your device until you or the site removes it. It is not sent to our servers automatically.
  • First-party means set by risedare.com itself. Third-party means set by a different company's domain.

3. Our approach

  • We keep storage on your device to a minimum.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, advertising pixels or third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell information about your visits.
  • Our analytics is first-party: events are sent to our own servers, not to an advertising network.
  • We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.

4. Preferences

These remember choices you make so that you do not have to make them again.

  • Language preference cookie: when you pick a language from the language menu, a first-party cookie records that choice so the site opens in that language on your next visit. It lasts for up to 12 months and is renewed when you choose a language again. If you never pick a language, the site chooses one from your country and browser language and this cookie is not needed.
  • Chuzi chat history: if you use the Chuzi chat bubble, your recent messages and Chuzi's replies are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device, so the conversation is still there when you come back. You can clear it at any time using the reset option in the chat.
  • Chuzi's outfit: if you change the look of the Chuzi mascot in the chat, that choice is kept in local storage.
  • Dismissed prompts: session storage records that you have closed the chat teaser or already seen an offer pop-up, so that it is not shown to you again during the same visit.

5. First-party analytics

We measure how the website is used so that we can improve it. When you browse, the site records events such as page views and clicks on buttons and links, for example choosing a pricing plan, opening a question in the FAQ, switching language, trying the interactive demo, signing up for the newsletter or clicking an App Store or Google Play badge.

With each batch of events we receive the page address, the language of the page, your approximate country, any UTM campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, and a random session identifier.

  • Session identifier: a random value created by your browser and kept in session storage. It lets us understand that several events belong to one visit. It does not contain your name, email address or device identifier, it is not shared with other websites, and it is cleared when you close the tab or browser, so a later visit gets a new one.
  • UTM parameters: if the link that brought you to the site contained campaign tags (for example the source or name of a campaign), they are kept in session storage for that visit so we can tell which campaigns bring visitors. They are not advertising pixels and do not follow you to other sites.

6. Strictly necessary storage

Some storage is needed for a function you have asked for and cannot be switched off in our systems. This covers what is required to keep the site secure and to complete an action you start, such as a web purchase or signing in to manage billing.

When you pay on the website, the payment gateway and your bank or UPI app may set their own cookies on their own pages in order to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Those cookies are controlled by them and governed by their policies.

7. What we do not use

We do not use any of the following on risedare.com. Links on our site to the App Store, Google Play or social networks take you to those services, which have their own cookie practices once you are there.

  • No third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No advertising conversion pixels.
  • No social media tracking widgets.
  • No fingerprinting techniques to recognise your device without storage.

8. Your choices

You control what is stored on your device.

  • Browser settings: every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data, for all sites or just for risedare.com. Look under the privacy or site settings of your browser.
  • Clearing site data removes the language cookie, the chat history and other stored preferences. The site will still work; it will simply choose a language automatically again.
  • Private or incognito browsing windows discard cookies and storage when you close them.
  • Chat history can be cleared from inside the Chuzi chat.
  • If you block all cookies and storage, the site remains usable, but your language choice and chat history will not be remembered.

9. Legal basis and visitors in the EEA and the United Kingdom

Where we store or read information on your device that is strictly necessary to provide something you asked for, such as remembering the language you selected, we do so without asking for consent, as the law allows.

Where the law of your region requires consent before non-essential information is stored on or read from your device, we rely on your consent for that storage, and you can withdraw it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser or by writing to us. Any personal data collected through cookies and similar technologies is handled in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and, where they apply, the GDPR and UK GDPR, as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. How long storage lasts

  • Session storage (session identifier, campaign parameters, dismissed prompts): until you close the tab or browser.
  • Language preference cookie: up to 12 months from the last time you chose a language.
  • Local storage (chat history and mascot outfit): until you clear it from the chat or clear your browser's site data.
  • No cookie or similar item we set lasts longer than 13 months without being renewed by something you do.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies or similar technologies we use, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever introduce a category of storage that needs your consent, we will ask for it before using it.
