1. About these terms
Chuzi is the mascot and AI morning coach of RiseDare. These Chuzi AI Terms explain how the AI features work and the rules for using them. They form part of the Terms of Service between you and (to be added) (RiseDare, we, us), and they apply whenever you use an AI feature in the RiseDare apps or the Chuzi chat bubble on risedare.com.
How we handle personal data in these features is described in the Privacy Policy. If these terms and the Terms of Service differ on a point about AI features, these terms apply to that point.
2. What Chuzi does
Chuzi's AI features generate text, and in some cases speech, for you. In the app they are part of the Pro plan.
- Morning briefing: a short spoken or written start to your day that can include things such as the weather and your streak.
- AI coach: a chat in which you can ask about mornings, habits and sleep routines.
- AI Dare Generator: suggestions for custom dares.
- Wake-up Predictor: an estimate, based on your past alarms and results, of how likely you are to get up on time.
- Sleep stories: generated stories to help you wind down.
- Personal wake-up voice: a synthesised voice that speaks your wake-up message.
- Group roast and hype: playful messages for members of a group you are in.
- Website chat: on risedare.com, Chuzi answers questions about RiseDare from visitors who may not have the app yet.
3. You are talking to an AI
Chuzi is software. Its replies, stories, dares, briefings and voice are generated automatically by third-party large language models and text-to-speech technology, not written or spoken by a person. Chuzi has a warm and cheeky personality by design, but it does not have feelings, and it is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser.
If you need a human, contact our support team at [email protected].
4. How it works and what is sent
To generate a reply, we send the text you typed, together with the minimum context needed for the feature, such as your first name, wake-up time, weather and streak, to an AI provider that runs the language model. The provider processes it on our behalf and returns the reply, which we show or read out to you.
We do not allow our AI providers to use your data to train their models.
Photos and pose data from missions are not sent to Chuzi or to AI providers. Mission photo and pose checks run on your device.
On the website, messages you type in the chat bubble are sent to our server and on to the AI provider in the same way. Your recent website conversation is also stored in your browser on your own device so that it is still there when you return; you can clear it from the chat.
5. Accuracy and limits
AI can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or inconsistent, and it can state something incorrect with confidence. Treat what Chuzi says as a friendly suggestion, not as fact or professional advice.
- Do not rely on Chuzi for medical, legal or financial decisions.
- Chuzi can share general sleep and morning-routine tips. For health issues such as insomnia or possible sleep apnoea, see a doctor. The Health and Wellness Disclaimer applies.
- Information Chuzi gives about RiseDare's prices, plans and policies is a convenience. If it differs from the pricing page, the app or our published policies, those prevail.
- The Wake-up Predictor is an estimate based on patterns. It does not guarantee anything about a particular morning.
- Weather and similar information in a briefing comes from outside sources and may be inaccurate.
- Chuzi is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
6. What you share with Chuzi
Do not share sensitive information with Chuzi, such as health conditions, passwords, one-time passwords, identity numbers, bank or card details, or other people's personal information. Chuzi does not need any of this to help you get up.
You keep the rights you have in what you type. You give us permission to process it, and to pass it to our AI providers, in order to produce Chuzi's reply and to operate, secure and improve the feature as described here and in the Privacy Policy.
Chats may be reviewed in anonymised form to improve safety.
7. Using Chuzi responsibly
The acceptable-use rules in the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines apply to Chuzi. In particular, do not use Chuzi to:
- Produce content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory or unlawful.
- Target, bully or humiliate another person, including through group roasts.
- Generate dares that are dangerous or that could cause harm to you or others.
- Impersonate a real person or mislead others into thinking AI-generated content came from a person.
- Try to extract the system instructions, bypass safety measures, or make Chuzi act outside its purpose.
- Send automated or bulk requests, or use Chuzi's output to build or train a competing service.
8. Group roasts and AI-generated dares
Roasts are meant to be playful. Chuzi is designed to keep them light, and they must never make fun of someone's body, health, religion, caste, gender or sexuality. Because the messages are generated automatically, one may occasionally miss the mark. If a message upsets you or breaks the Community Guidelines, report it from inside the app; we review reports within 24 hours.
Only your name, avatar and wake-up status are visible to members of a group you join, and that is the kind of information a roast or hype message can draw on.
The AI Dare Generator suggests ideas. You decide whether a dare is suitable and safe for you before you add it to an alarm. Do not accept a dare that involves an unsafe place or activity, or physical effort you are not fit for. If a suggestion seems unsafe or inappropriate, do not use it and please tell us.
9. Voice and Chuzi's output
Your personal wake-up voice and spoken briefings are synthesised text-to-speech. We do not clone your voice or anyone else's voice.
Spoken missions, such as saying an affirmation or verse aloud, are checked on your device. That audio is not used to create a voice.
You may use what Chuzi generates for you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes within RiseDare and when sharing with friends. Because AI output is generated automatically, similar output may be given to other users, and we do not promise that it is unique or free of third-party rights.
Chuzi's name, character and artwork belong to us, as set out in the Terms of Service.
10. Memory and your controls
Chuzi keeps your chat history and personalisation so that it can be consistent from one morning to the next. You stay in control.
- Turn AI features off at any time in Settings → Chuzi AI. The alarm and missions work without them.
- Clear Chuzi's memory in Settings → Chuzi AI.
- On the website, clear the conversation using the reset option in the chat.
- Deleting your account deletes your Chuzi chat history and AI personalisation, as described on the Data and Account Deletion page.
- You can ask for access to, correction of or erasure of your personal data by writing to [email protected].
11. Automated decisions and younger users
Chuzi does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Whether a Hardcore Mode charge applies is determined by whether the dare was completed under the Hardcore Mode Terms, not by Chuzi, and appeals are reviewed by us.
Users aged 13 to 17 use RiseDare, including Chuzi, with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not use Chuzi conversations for targeted advertising or behavioural tracking. Parents and guardians can ask us to delete a child's data at [email protected].
12. Availability and changes
AI features depend on third-party providers and an internet connection, and may be slow, limited or unavailable at times. To keep the service fair and safe we may apply reasonable usage limits. We may change the models and providers we use and the features Chuzi offers. Your alarm does not depend on Chuzi: alarms and missions continue to work if an AI feature is unavailable.
We may suspend AI features for an account that misuses them, in line with the Terms of Service.
13. Our responsibility
We take reasonable care in designing Chuzi and its safety measures, but we cannot review each reply before you see it and we do not warrant that AI output is accurate, suitable or inoffensive. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss that results from relying on AI output as if it were professional advice. The Disclaimers and Liability sections of the Terms of Service apply, and nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
14. Feedback and contact
If Chuzi says something wrong, unsafe or offensive, please tell us at [email protected] so that we can improve it. Complaints can be sent to our Grievance Officer, (to be added), at [email protected]; we acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
